What is the difference between a GED and a HSED offered by On Track?
A GED is not the same as a high school equivalency diploma. A HSED from On Track will give the student a high school transcript showing a grade for each subject taken in the four years of high school as indicated on the specific sections of our exams. In addition, an accredited high school diploma will be issued.

How many hours a day does it take to get my school work done?
Students should allow for 3-4 hours per day to be able to complete required lessons and maintain a B+ average. Keep in mind that traditional school including homework encompasses more than 8 hours per day. An added benefit to enrolling in a distance learning school is that there is no homework since all our work is completed at home.

What kind of support does On Track offer students?
On Track offers students and families teacher support through the implementation of certified Learning Coaches. Weekly phone/internet sessions are scheduled in advance as well as availability throughout the week. On Track also provides support to the Home Coach who is an important piece of our Team. A Team Contract is signed by all - student - Learning Coach - Home Coach, for optimum success.

Can students work at their own pace?
Students can work ahead and are encouraged to do so, especially before events in their competition schedules. However, there is a minimum requirement that must be met in order to stay On Track.

Does On Track offer accredited curriculum in their programs?
All programs offered by On Track are accredited. Accreditation means that a regional governing body has put their stamp of approval on our courses. On Track is in the process of receiving International accreditation.

What is the cost to enroll?
Currently the prices for enrollment depend on the program that is chosen for each student. On Track, even though a private school which charges a registration fee, curriculum fee, and monthly tuition has been able to maintain a reasonable rate allowing for affordability. One registration fee per family as well as multiple student discounts are provided.

Can students enroll anytime of the year or does On Track have a set schedule?
The Private School allows for round the year enrollment where the Virtual Academy is on a set semester schedule unless approved in advance for enrollment mid term.

What does it take to get On Track?
Choose a program that sounds most interesting to your needs and fill out an enrollment form. There is no obligation for doing so. This will be sent directly to our Director, Andrea Leib, who will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your options.

Is it necessary to take the Learning Style Profile?
After filling out the enrollment form you will be prompted to take the LSP. This is a very helpful tool not only to our staff but also to the Home Coach working with the student since it helps us to facilitate the best possible plan for academic success.
